Funding your Small Farm
And keeping it profitable

This class is designed to help you create a strong financial understanding of how to start a small farm on a tight budget.
Topics will include:
- Managing money in the first few years
- Prioritizing what to get with a small budget
- Projecting your sales a year out
- Grants and other fundraising opportunities for small farmers
- The basic farm office
I will also share how I track cash flow and tricks I use to make sure the farm is never in the red. Participants will go home with templates for our spreadsheets and budgets. This class is for new or aspiring farmers on less than two acres. Principles will apply to any kind of farming. Because the information shared at this class is fairly personal, we ask that you please keep what you've learned within your immediate family. Registration is limited to 10 participants so that we can all share freely. Please note that we do not offer refunds for cancellations, except in the case of family emergency.
