We are hiring part time team members for the 2026 season!
About our Farm:
We grow design quality flowers in Baltimore and DC. We are committed to farming with sustainable principles using no-till methods. We are on just under five acres, and have several unheated high tunnels for season extension and three heated tunnels for winter production. Our farm is in White Hall, Maryland, about 10 minutes north of Ladew Gardens.
Our Workplace Culture:
We are a woman-owned business. We take work seriously and usually mornings are very busy, with slower afternoons. We get to work early in the morning, ready to jump in. While the work here is fast paced and intense, we also take time to joke around and have great conversations, usually over weeding. We like to share fun snacks at lunch, we celebrate birthdays like nobody’s business, and we support each others’ hobbies and goals. Everyone takes veggies and flowers home to enjoy the farm’s bounty.
Job Opening: Part-time Harvester, Spring and Fall
Morning shifts, 7 am to noon, part time
Job Description: Team members harvest flowers and foliage and also help with field work. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys getting up early! Harvesters cut flowers and foliage of the best quality, are self-motivated, and focus on speed and efficiency during this typically solo task. Harvesters don’t mind getting constructive feedback; we’re always striving for a more beautiful bunch of blooms around here!
Work Schedule: Harvesters work a 5 hour shift, 7 am to noon. This position is part time (2-4 mornings per week: we are hiring for Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and seasonal. Work beings mid March and goes through late June. Then we have a summer break, and work begins again mid August and goes through early November.
More Details: Although Harvesters are mostly harvesting, they also do other work that’s needed, usually later in the morning- like washing buckets, planting, or weeding. All team members are flexible and happy to help in whatever ways are needed. We work in all kinds of weather. Please note that because this position is part time and seasonal, we do not pay sick or vacation leave. We expect team members to take no more than 1 week away.
Pay: Pay is commensurate with experience. This is an hourly position. Our starting pay for someone completely new to farming or gardening is $17/hour. No experience necessary.
Qualifications:
Enjoys early mornings
Has excellent communication
Enjoys physical labor in all weather conditions
Able to lift up to fifty pounds repeatedly
Willing to work with groups of adults
Energetic, resilient, self-motivated, and punctual
