oatmeal cookies, trees, and seeds

Dear Readers,

We planted trees yesterday! Here's the first installment:

The trees above are willows. We also got euonymus, viburnum, dogwood, ilex, and forsythia. The trees will take a few years to get big enough that we can harvest from them. In the meantime, I can dream about what they'll turn into:

I also ordered my seeds for next year. Some new things on the menu..

And of course I ordered the old-but-goodies that worked for us last year, like Snow Puff Cosmos...

I'm very excited about next season, but I'm also getting used to this winter thing. Oh, it's snowing out, you say? Better stay in and bake cookies in my pajamas...
